Romero Moves 2025: A Heartwarming Success!
Our second annual Romero House Moves was a huge success! On a beautiful, sunny Sunday, more than 100 participants—families, friends, neighbours, volunteers, and former residents—came together to walk, run, and celebrate the community. Together, we raised $34,160 to continue supporting the work we do at Romero House!

A Celebration of Gratitude and Belonging: Romero House Thanksgiving 2025
On October 13th, we gathered for our annual Romero House Thanksgiving Celebration. The function brought together over 100 people, including current and former residents, staff, volunteers, board members, donors, and neighbours.
With sadness, we share news of the passing of a longtime volunteer earlier this year, Edna Hajnal, and of the sudden death of our board member Joan Leishman this week. We are holding Joan’s family, friends, and all who knew her in our hearts. We hope to share more about her life and legacy in a future message.
