Romero House Camp 2026 was a beautiful and memorable experience filled with opportunities to connect with one another. Surrounded by nature, the campground gave everyone a chance to step away from the usual routine and enjoy time together.
There were plenty of activities to keep everyone busy, including boating, kayaking, canoeing, hiking, and swimming. The beach was only a two-minute walk from the campsite, making it easy to head over for a swim or a game of volleyball. There were also lots of programs and activities for children and teens, giving them a chance to have fun, make friends, and enjoy the outdoors.

One of the highlights of camp was sharing three meals together each day. Our residents also had the opportunity to help prepare and cook some of the meals, creating delicious food and even more special memories around the table.
Camp was a wonderful opportunity for residents to meet and get to know each other better. We had the chance to learn about Indigenous culture and the history of the land, as the campground is Anishinaabe-run. These experiences added an important learning and cultural dimension to our time together.
In the evenings, once the kids had gone to bed, the adults could relax and enjoy Club Romero. It was a great time to unwind, laugh, and continue building friendships.
We can’t wait for next year!
