Romero House is looking for a compassionate and resourceful Housing & Settlement Coordinator to join our team.
As a community of welcome for newly arrived refugee claimants in Toronto, our work is rooted in dignity, mutual care, and good neighbourliness. We’re not only a housing and settlement provider—we’re an intentional community, closely connected to one another and our neighbourhood.
In this role, you’ll walk alongside individuals and families during their time at Romero House, supporting their transition into stable, long-term housing. From navigating the housing market to accessing benefits and community resources, you’ll help residents build the knowledge, confidence, and connections needed for independent living.
This is a dynamic, people-centered position that combines direct support, advocacy, and coordination. You’ll work closely with residents on housing plans, collaborate with volunteers and partners, facilitate workshops, and contribute to a strong, welcoming community.
We’re looking for someone with experience (or relevant training) in social services, strong organizational and communication skills, and a commitment to equity and inclusion. Additional languages and experience working in diverse communities are strong assets.
This is a full-time position (generally 9–5, with some flexibility), offering a supportive team environment, competitive salary, and benefits.
If you’re excited to support newcomers in building stability and belonging, we’d love to hear from you!
