We’re Hiring: Bookkeeper

Romero House is looking for a detail-oriented and values-driven Bookkeeper to join our team.

As a community of welcome for newly arrived refugee claimants in Toronto, our work is rooted in dignity, mutual care, and good neighbourliness. We’re more than a housing and settlement organization—we’re an intentional community, closely connected to one another and to our neighbourhood.

In this role, you’ll support the financial health of Romero House by managing day-to-day bookkeeping, including tracking transactions, reconciling accounts, processing payroll, and preparing financial reports. Your work will help ensure transparency, accountability, and strong stewardship of resources that directly support our community.

This is a part-time position (2–3 days per week), with the possibility of additional hours depending on your interests and skills.

We’re looking for someone with bookkeeping or accounting experience, strong attention to detail, and familiarity with tools like QuickBooks and spreadsheets. Experience in the nonprofit sector or working with diverse communities is an asset.

We offer a supportive, collaborative work environment, competitive hourly pay, and a strong commitment to equity and inclusion.

If you’re excited to contribute your skills to a mission-driven organization, we’d love to hear from you!
