Romero House is looking for a Youth Programs Coordinator to join our vibrant community of welcome for refugee claimants in Toronto.
This part-time position (approximately 10 hours per week) focuses on creating fun, inclusive, and engaging spaces for children and teens. The Youth Programs Coordinator will plan and lead weekly activities (from arts and crafts to sports and city outings), while building meaningful relationships with youth, families, and volunteers.
We’re looking for someone with experience working with children and youth, strong communication skills, and a genuine commitment to equity, inclusion, and community care. Proficiency in English is required, and other languages (ex: Spanish, Arabic, Amharic, Persian, Ukrainian, French, or others) are considered strong assets.
The position runs until April 1, 2026, with likely extension. Most programming takes place in the evenings and on weekends, near Dundas West subway station in Toronto.
If you’re passionate about creating spaces where young people can connect, grow, and belong, we’d love to hear from you!
