Romero House is seeking a compassionate and reliable Receptionist (Mondays and/or Tuesdays) to be the welcoming first point of contact for newcomers arriving at our doors. This role is about more than answering phones — it’s about creating a space of calm, clarity, and dignity for people navigating complex systems in a new country.
Our receptionist helps respond to calls and guests of our Centre with kindness and professionalism, supports intake and referrals, logs communications, assists with donation inquiries, and occasionally provides interpretation (English–Spanish). We are looking for someone who is patient, organized, comfortable with technology, and committed to offering respectful support to newcomers. A minimum four-month commitment, one consistent day per week, is required.
If you’re fluent in English and Spanish and want to play a meaningful role in helping refugee families access the services they need, we would love to hear from you.
Interested? Please email our Volunteer Coordinator, Rahima Paiman, at rahima.paiman@romerohouse.org.
