Our second annual Romero House Moves was a huge success! On a beautiful, sunny Sunday, more than 100 participants—families, friends, neighbours, volunteers, and former residents—came together to walk, run, and celebrate the community. Together, we raised $34,160 to continue supporting the work we do at Romero House!
The day was full of laughter, games, and great food. Some culinary highlights include hot arepas, empanadas, and homemade passionfruit juice, prepared and served by former Romero House residents.
It was heartwarming to see kids running and playing games, volunteers connecting and making new friends, and neighbours coming together to lend a hand wherever needed. One of our participants, an 85-year-old walker, reminded us that Romero Moves truly is for everyone.
