Petition: Tell the Canadian Government to Restore Shelter Funding for Refugees
Thousands of refugees in Toronto could soon be without shelter. The Canadian government is cutting $107 million in funding . That means 1,800 fewer beds for people who have nowhere else to go.
Since 2017, the feds have covered 95% of refugee shelter costs, recognizing that immigration is a federal responsibility. In 2025, they have said they will only pay 26%. Sign this petition to demand Prime Minister Mark Carney and your local MP to deliver the necessary funding.
